There are no words to express my admiration for Stanley Kubrick. Portrayed as a young man in my sketch, I feel like I have known him though his films, and more so by having sketched him now.

The aesthetics of an unknown nude, her contour in light, impresses my imagination, shying away turning her face in hiding.

We are all happy to have money. We dream of making more of it, but somewhere in our minds we all know it is a materialistic quest. This was my once used jeans worn a couple of years ago, when I first came to UK as a student. I bought it at a charity shop here, and I'm fascinated how it even landed there in the first place. I imagine that the fabric could have been from India, the jeans manufactured in China, sold in America, and been to Europe on a summer holiday, where someone decided to give it away to charities in UK, only to be bought by me, and to become art in the process! My jeans pocket then, is perhaps not about holding money, but about my imaginary experiences living another persons life though the fabric.

Just like anyone else, I wish for happiness and wealth. An interesting oxymoron I've observed is that we throw away money to wish for more of it. There's a custom in India, just as in many other parts of the world, that if money is thrown into a sacred pond, one can have their wish for wealth fulfilled! It makes me wonder why we cannot throw some goodwill around us, to get back more of it. Afterall, goodwill does have a come-back effect.
